| Season 3 - GRID is nearly upon us |
|
 Our sister site Whoopass-Racing's Season 3 pages are now live!
Updates include GRID graphics, a new rulebook and finalized car & track selections for GP and TC series. GP will remain a traditional european style of racing but now emulates a career path, moving up through the ranks. While TC continues to be NO-RULES, utilizing GRID's new Demolition Derby and Drifting modes ... should be interesting :)
With our ducks now in a row we're putting out the last call for folks who want in right from the get go ... announce your interest in the racing forum. For those who are late on the scene all hope is not lost - we'll still be open to entries during the season and some catchup points will be awarded...it's never too late!

With the much anticipated release of GRID, TeamRIP is looking ahead to using the new game as the basis for Season 3 of our Whoopass-Racing ™ GP & TC Championships.
Anyone and everyone is invited to apply for GRID membership, we don't care if you're fast or slow, into Formula 3 or Demolition Derby, for us it's purely about chemistry. Having the right group of teammates is what takes racing games up that extra notch.
If racing seasons with set schedules and titles to play for, in varied vehicle types on all sorts of tracks (while in voice contact with the other cars via Ventrilo!) sounds good ... CLICKY CLICKY to apply!

Following the release of a Race Driver: GRID demo for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, a demo for the PC version is available now as well. A 894mb download, the PC demo also includes three tracks and three cars.

 For the past few weeks the website has been going through a migration process (to a new host & registrar) which we're happy to announce is now complete!
TeamRIP, EQ2 Walkers and Whoopass-Racers should all have unchanged forums access, notification emails should continue etc. If any problems are observed, trouble logging in, no notification emails or anything like that, please email your problem to admin@teamrip.net and we'll get it seen to asap.
Benefits of our new host are:
- Increased uptime (fewer outages)
- Increased processing speed (pages load faster)
- Exponentially more available disk space
- Huge increase in monthly bandwidth allowance
As a result of those last two benefits, we have now enabled a "Files" or download section, accessible to RIP/EQ2W/WAR members via the link at the top-center of the site.

There are currently 2 issues before the TeamRIP racing community that need some attention...
1. The BEER Challenge, we need to get down our roster and propose a date to them.
2. WAR Season 3 ... this has been on the back burner for sure ... it's time we jump in with both feet. The GP series is about set, we just need to define the TC series and we can go.
There are forum threads on both subjects, let's use them!

A word to the wise amongst Whoopass Racers, there have been rumblings ... Rumor has it there is a new forum thread devoted to developing a framework of will become WA-R Season 3.
Any & all interested parties should head on in to the Racers' Pit to review the goings on and interject with their points of view. The more the merrier, efforts will be made to give everyone's ideas representation, so the season that results will be a group construction.
