Leaving the rest of the field stunned, MrKavanagh picked up where he left off last season, extending his hot streak to equal the Whoopass-Racing record number of wins in consecutive races run (3 straight wins)!


GP: With draft-push proving so troublesome in testing, qualifying was more important than ever, Kav locked in pole position and subsequently dominated the race in a flag to flag victory. "I was really expecting Buz to challenge me, but after the first run through Druids, it was like I was the only car on the track, and i was just like 'monkey, monkey, monkey, monkey, monkey, monkey, monkey, monkey, monkey, monkey, monkey, monkey, monkey, monkey, monkey ... all the way to the checkered flag."


TC: Bouncing back, Buz was able to engage the drug fuelled charge of Kav, the lead changing between the two frequently. But the battle resulted in a gradual slowing of the overall pace, which allowed Lebowski (who pitted early following an incident) to make up ground. After pit stops Buz & Kav found themselves split by the resurgent Lebowski. Buz was unable to make any further impression and settled for 3rd place while Lebowski took the fight to race leader. Unfortunately for him there just weren't enough laps in the race ... Kav crossed the line with a 1.4 second lead.

"I had a lot of help from Jack Daniels, he told me to just go get the win, and I said 'I'm gonna catch it in the coat and smack it with the hammer!" Kav said - apparently mistaking voices in his head for team radio. "I'm sssoooooooo glad this championship is a drug-test-free-zone and that there was no fire or ninjas this time. Later dudes!
