Dear Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars Public Beta Participant,
 
Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars is currently shipping to retailers around the world
and will hit store shelves on September 28 in Europe and Australia, and on
October 2 in North America. This is an extremely exciting milestone for all of
us here at Splash Damage, id Software, and Activision, and we can't wait to get
the game into your hands.
 
The arrival of Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars at retail also means that we are
closing down the Public Beta with immediate effect. We would like to extend a
heartfelt "Thank You" to all of you. The feedback that all of you have provided
on the forums, via email, and on IRC was invaluable. You also helped us stress
test our backend infrastructure for the game and we're confident that it's the
best it can be.
 
We would also like to thank all the Game Service Providers that put up servers
for the ETQW Public Beta and provided valuable feedback on the game server code.
This beta would not have been possible without their help. And finally, a big
thanks to all of our Fan Sites around the world for their constant support and
enthusiasm.

Meh, surprised they had the beta servers up for so long. Demo has been out for 2 weeks and it is better than the beta version.
