rip|TEAM: Quick Start for New Members (CoD5 version)

Once becoming a member of Team Rip there are a number of things you can do to get yourself ramped up and ready; they are summarized here along with their related forum threads:

(This guide assumes that you are already on X-Fire and Ventrilo )

1. In CoD5 under Options & Controls > MultiPlayer Options > update your Tag to include the rip| prefix.  For example: rip|Dusty

2. If you haven't done so already, implement the CoD5 Performance Tweaks outlined here (make a backup of your original config first) :  http://www.teamrip.net/index.php?topic=4321.0

3. Regularly backup your CoD5 Player Profile, here's a script : http://www.teamrip.net/index.php?topic=4445.0

4. In Ventrilo remove the “-r” from your name if you had one.  This was used to indicate to the clan that you were a new recruit.

5. On X-Fire in your Profile page, issue a "join clan" request to link your profile to the clan.  http://www.xfire.com/clans/teamrip/

6. Update your TeamRip Profile page : http://www.teamrip.net/index.php?action=profile
Also in your Profile, under Forum Profile Information, you can add a banner to your Signature such as the one X-Fire provides : http://www.xfire.com/

7. The TeamRip servers are tracked on UltraStats, check it out :
http://cod.teamrip.net/ (http://cod.teamrip.net/)

8. Visit http://Gtactix.com and download the utility; familiarize yourself with it.

In the Team Rip Private Forums (accessible now that you are a member):

1. Check the Clan CoD5 - World at War discussion area for an Announcement thread regarding your new membership : http://www.teamrip.net/index.php?board=58.0

2. Add a thread about yourself under General : Member Profiles : http://www.teamrip.net/index.php?board=29.0

3. In addition to including them in your Profile, there are several threads where you can post your various IDs as well:
  • Email : http://www.teamrip.net/index.php?topic=2879.0
  • X-Fire : http://www.teamrip.net/index.php?topic=2879.0
  • Yahoo & MSN : http://www.teamrip.net/index.php?topic=2016.0
  • Steam : http://www.teamrip.net/index.php?topic=144.0

4. Visit the Reference area and start by reviewing the following:
  • Team Rip Rules: http://www.teamrip.net/index.php?topic=1989.0
  • Game Server Cost Schedule: http://www.teamrip.net/index.php?topic=850.0

Ongoing

2. Post here to let the team know if you will be absent: http://www.teamrip.net/index.php?topic=3317.0
