...Final standings will take into account each driver's 9 best finishes, ie, each player will get to drop their worst result from the 10 races.

Ballast Loads

In the interest of keeping the championship closely contested, a Ballast Loading system is in place:

Race Winner ... will have 20kg (44lb) weight added to their car at the next event.
2nd place will have 15kg (33lb) added.
3rd place will have 10kg (22lb) added.
4th place will have 5kg (11lb) added.

5th through 10th will remain the same weight.

11th through Last will have 10lbs removed (if carrying ballast).

Track of the Week Bonus

Each week throughout the season there will be a hotlapping contest using a different track to that week's race. Every driver that posts a time for a given track/week will receive a championship point. The poster of the fastest time of the week will receive an additional bonus point.

Classification if unable to complete race

If a driver is unable to complete a race they have begun, due to domestic emergency, equipment failure, general weariness etc ... they may exit the race at any time and will be classified as having finished ahead of the nearest AI car behind them at the moment of retirement, or behind the last human competitor if that AI car finishes ahead of said last-human-competitor. Full race points will be awarded in such cases.

Conduct

This boils down to the basic principle of "Don't be a douchbag".

Riding rumblestrips or dropping wheels off is ok, but please do not take all 4 wheels beyond the rumblestrip (the part painted with alternating colors). Where there are no rumble strips, please avoid crossing the lines marking the outer limits of the track. Where there are no such lines, keep it on the island.

When a specific corner or track area seems ambiguous a driver should ask for an opinion ASAP, before the event or during practice, so it can be discussed and everyone will be able to proceed with the same understanding.

It is understood that sometimes accidents happen, through late braking or worn tires or AI acting weird, whatever. If an accidental 4-Off occurs, it is recommended to lift or back off the pace for 2 seconds to ensure no undue advantage was gained.

The Pit Lane:

Entrance and Transit - Although automatic penalties are disabled on the game server, drivers are to observe pit lane speed limits.  Replays will be available to review the RPM and speed of any suspected violations.

Exit - Drivers are strongly urged to take the time to study the pit exit and figure out how it is intended to be used. Aggressive pit exit behavior opens a driver to potential protests and penalties. It is in a driver's own best interest to behave predictably.

Conflict Resolution

If you know you did something to screw a guy over, you have the option of negotiating in real time. Generally this will mean either:
- Offering to slow down to let the victim car past (regardless of how many others may also pass you in that time).
- Performing a self-administered pitlane drive-through penalty (on the limiter!).

Outside of this, post-race, alleged incidents should be reported by posting in that race's forum thread. Users lodging the complaint should provide a time signature from the replay file so others may review, screenshots and video evidence are also welcome.

If a review request from a 2nd driver is made then a poll thread relating to the incident will be created and users will vote on how to proceed.

...3:00am (Eastern) Wednesday - Deadline for submitting complaints.

...3:00pm (Eastern) Thursday - Deadline for voting (guilty or not, penalties).

Standard post-race penalty will be 20sec added to total race time for the offending car.
