GP:

Kal had a really good start, I tried to provide some push to see if we could get by Jackal & Chitty. But being on the outside of turn 1 wasn't helpful. Such is life.

 Quite enjoyed blowing past Chitty after he and Jackal got into each other somehow. But I then spent too much time actually fighting with Jackal for the lead and that allowed Chitty to draft back up to us ... kind of shockingly fast.

 Perhaps it was ebay, or maybe the manual gearbox (couldn't possibly be skill! right?), but Chitty tore up the joint and nearly broke away. I felt bad to not provide better draft to those behind but there was only one way Chitty could be stopped. And even that involved white-walling the tires.

With about 2 laps to go I took a look up the inside and was punished for my mistake, there was contact, followed by a spin, and lots of smoke and dirt flying. For some reason Chitty was foolhardy enough to allow me to catch back up for a sprint to the finish ... very polite, but foolish on his part

TC:
Brutal ... again Chitty ran away with it. Despite efforts to road block him. Somehow Jackal escaped finish-line carnage and pulled out the win. I think was the first league race I've done a barrel roll in...even including the demo derbies of Season 3.

I hate i missed it? are you guys racing Grid?

OK ... i don't seem to have screenshots for Round 2 ... even though i distinctly remember launching fraps and hitting f10 at the appropriate times.

I think i won the detroit gp race ... and maybe chitty came 2nd ... no clue as to the rest.

Don't remember much about the demo race. maybe jackal won?

GP - I think Kav was 3rd? I know I finished 4th
TC - I *think* I finished 3rd? Not sure where anyone else was.

GP - Jackal was 3rd i believe.  Kav was 5th, Kal was 6th.

Demo race - I got crashed out so obviously I was last.  I believe Jackal won, followed by Buz (AKA "The Missile")

Standings updated to the best of my ability. PM me if you honestly feel something is terribly amiss.

I think you got double-teamed too, I think Kav and I both got you ... unless that was another incident. I remember there being a few good ones.

It's a very good looking game that's fairly easy to get into i think.
The single-player mode is quite good.

It does have a few flaws for online play...but i guess i feel i've gotten my money's worth out of it all the same.

Why no point for the fast lap?

Allow me to quote the rules:

Bonus Point:
Fastest Lap of Race = 1 pt

In the interest of maintaing a tight championship, the maximum number of points available to a single driver in a single event is 15.

If the race winner achieves fastest lap, they will not recieve the bonus point, but will have prevented the other drivers from obtaining it.

Hardy har har. Actually...I remember asking the same question last season in the 1 event that placed first *and* got fastest lap  ;)

Round 4 happened ... Chitty's lead in GP extends gradually ... Jackal retains the TC lead by the slimmest of margins.

I can't believe I got totaled so easily in the TC race. It really didn't seem like that hard of a hit.


Chitty has equaled Kav's record of winning 4 consecutive races ... Will history be made next week?

GP:
Buz fights back with a race win and fast lap at the SFO GP ... ruining ChITty's attempt to take sole ownership of the consecutive race wins record. Still a tough job ahead to beat ChITty to the GP title though. Toadly & Kav are tied.

TC:
Jackal extends his lead ... somehow fending off catch-up-assisted attacks from Buz. Kav overtakes Toadly in the standings.

Yo Guys ... I apologize for the late-season nature of this but I have a proposal to make.

Since there have been some attendance issues (RL happens), to allow some leniency I suggest amending the points system for the current (and all future) season/s to calculate final season points on the bassis of ignoring each driver's worst race result.

eg, this season is 8 races ... we'd calculate final standings on each driver's 7 best races.

This allows folks to have an absence without say, ME, accumulating a disproportionate advantage. Level's the playing field a bit.

Away points would still apply for the 2nd or higher instance of missing a race.

Works for me. ;)

yes, this is pretty much it for GRID.

when you will play grid. i usualy play freestyle drift and love to play with some of you.

doh - we actually retired Grid a while ago. Lately we're into Dirt 2, Race On and F1 2010...

why we don`t start again play grid. we can organize events against other clans or "one on one" batles in private servers.
