I am starting a thread for all proposal of forming a governing body for GTRe.

I propose we have a 2 day period for review of the race before posting official race results. During these 2 days everyone has the opportunity to review the race and put of up for discussion any rule infractions ie: pit lane fouls (example buz mowing over the cones), aggresive driving against AI vs Rip vs AI, 4-off, etc.

Your proposal will need to include a brief explanation of rule infraction along with video and/or time that infraction occurred so that others can review the proposed infraction. After the 2 days we will close the thread of submissions and begin individual thread for each penalty. Individual thread should include proposed penalties to be voted on. By friday we should post official results.

   

I'm cool with this idea ... however I would like to see things move faster.

I propose:

...3:00am (Eastern) Wednesday - Deadline for submitting complaints.

...3:00pm (Eastern) Thursday - Deadline for voting (guilty or not, penalties).

Holy crap, I thought Buz was over the top.

Well, I'm sure you realize that my vids won't be available until closer to the next week's race.  Although, since I have to watch everyone's replays I could just do a rough cut of anything that I see that looks midly questionable and post that in a rough form for everyone to see.

Well if we all do it and vote then you could include the approved infractions in your vid.

infractions will only need 2 motions to be put up for vote?

i think the responsibility for providing vids or time signatures should be on the party lodging the complaint, ChITty is busy enough as it is.

If they fail to provide enough evidence then they'll naturally get voted down.

As for whether a complaint will need a seconder in order to go to the group review and vote ... idk, what do you guys think?

i was saying it would be cool once the infractions are approved chitty could include them in the vid, like put them at the end of his video or something.

Fair enough ... if he's up for it that'd be cool.  I just wanted to make sure everyone was clear that it's their own responsibility to provide evidence when filing a complaint.


As far as Penalties ... I think adding 20sec (virtual pitlane drive-thru) per incident to the driver's total race time would work.

I'm reading along. I like the idea and agree that it should be the responsibility of each driver to file their own complaints. The +20 seconds sounds good to me as well.  8)

I'm considering creating a GTRe sub-forum since this is generating quite a few threads and looks like it's set to continue that way.
