Does anybody want me to make them a new skin for this season or improve on their skin from last season

For those that haven't seen is my skin that I will be using during Season 6.

There are a ton skins available on nogrip that you can edit to your liking.

Oh, they have some pre-made template skins? Did you adapt the Red Bull one from there?

I would not call them templates. It is just a large collection of skins that other people have done. I found a red bull skin that some did and stripped it down and re-skinned to look more like the 2009 F1 livery. I just edited the dds file. It is a good way to make a skin if you dont want to build one from the ground up.

I would really enjoy having my own skin for next season if that is possible.  I'm no where near capable of making my own, I'm probably barely able to figure out where to put the skin.  What are the limitations? If you can throw one up for me I mean, do I need to tell you colors and such I want? Or just tell you a team / advertisement I'd want to use.  Either way I'd prefer it over using the AI skins. :)

Kav will let you know I'm sure, but I would think naming a base color, accent color and a couple desired sponsors would be a great start.

Or if you have a racing team that you like in a racing series and want their livery you can post a link and I will see what I can do.


Or you can use the superman livery I have been working on for my 9 year old. LOL

Awesome, well only if it's not too much trouble I would enjoy a two toned scheme with (haha, no laughing) purple, and gold. Eastern Carolina University colors ;)  Just the paint would suffice, but also if you're looking to really trick me out any sort of insignia of a Pirate. Just basically I am looking for a ECU schemed car. lol Anything would be greatly appreciated.

So to clarify this, you are giving me free reigns to make you a ECU car? 

Free reign to design it however you wish using Purple/Gold and a pirate. I trust your judgement, lol

Haha, I think it looks fantastic.  Not sure about the number deal, are we using the # where we finished in the last season's standings?  Either way, can't wait to see the finished product, really appreciated.

You can use what ever number you want too. It's up to you. I choose not to use a number.

Some of us are choosing to. Your call of course.
(imo 17 is kind of a cool number, but that's just me)

Yeah, I think racing and your number go hand in hand... I like the idea of using the number where you finished the last season. :)  If you wouldn't mind at least placing one "17" on there.

Honestly I lost interest for a little while but I will have something out for you before the 1st race or shortly afterward. Don't worry, it will be bad ass.....

crap! I was having problems with my external HDD this morning along with my internet. I will just use my previous skin and hopefully you can send out an updated skin pack before the next race. How does that sound?

It's no prob for me - actually ... is it much different than what you uploaded to NoGrip? Maybe I could grab that one as an interim version anyway, even if the current one is different.

woohoo, duh I should have thought of that. Thats the exact same thing. You can use that. Just copy and paste the contents of the ini file, since I have a helmet, suit, cockpit and etc. Thanks

Hmm, I just clicked it, saved it.....  extracted both to specified folder prog files/steamapps/my profile/race07  ect....  finished and went to go look and nothing is there. Strange....

oh i wouldn't bother yet anyway, since i'll be repackaging everything with a single ini file and stuff.

but jftr, skins go into My Docs\Simbin\CustomSkins

I tried to extract it to where you just said, and still nothing....  well damn. I was hoping to get a peek at what it looked like before I went to work, guess not...

there is not a ini file included with yours cawdor, plus nothing has changed. It't not finished. My motivation has been shit lately, sorry.

Naw, Buz got it up in that car pack and I got a chance to check it out. I got no problems with it! :D  Never had my own custom car before, lol

hah! that's cool ... any chance you could scope out all the GP6 cars and let me know if there are any issues?

I made the ini file at work and so haven't been able to test at all, lol.

I didn't get a chance to check them all, gatta run back to work... *grumbles* but I'll take a look at em when I get back, I saw all of them but only used mine (haha) when I went to take a last stab at TotW just a while ago.
