Any help on whether it's on my end or a server error would be appreciated.
Title: Re: GP Season 6 - Round 2 - Albert Park Post by: rip|buzinator on October 09, 2009, 12:57:10 PM Did you install the track pack? (vs the individual track download?)

Thanks for the help, I had already DLed Albert Park before from a few friends that play but I guess the file changes or whatever was what wasn't allowing me to stay in the server before. Thanks again...
Title: Re: GP Season 6 - Round 2 - Albert Park Post by: rip|buzinator on October 13, 2009, 02:09:53 PM NP - Glad that fixed it!
... Hot Laps Update... (http://www.whoopass-racing.com/results/gp6_r02_MEL/hotlaps/war_evo_s02r02_Hot_Laps.htm) Chitty ... 1:38.96 Buz ... 1:40.93 Bret ... 1:41.03 Cawdor ... 1:41.04 Kalian ... 1:50.98 Chitty has done more than double the laps of anyone else. Bret & Cawdor at each others' throats :) 1 more night to get-r-dun! Kal did the fewest laps so far ... I haven't watched the replays but if he's braking later than the red signs like I sometimes do, that's playing with the devil and the devil always wins! ;) Title: Re: GP Season 6 - Round 2 - Albert Park Post by: rip|buzinator on October 13, 2009, 02:26:28 PM Pls note - Race # of laps bumped up to 22, since we're 10sec / lap faster here than Brno.

Title: Re: GP Season 6 - Round 2 - Albert Park Post by: rip|ChITty on October 14, 2009, 02:25:47 PM Questions:
- Will Buz win his home GP? - Will Luma or Kav show to defend their honor from last season? - Who's faster at Melbourne? Cawdor or Bretware (only separeted by 1 hundredth in the hot lap times) - Will Bretware repeat his dominate from Brno? - Will ChITty continue his street track dominance? - Will ChITty be able to overcome the ballast and put on a strong performance? - Will Cawdor or Kalian get their first win? Title: Re: GP Season 6 - Round 2 - Albert Park Post by: rip|Lumacor on October 14, 2009, 03:36:35 PM I can't ever race on Wednesday evenings sadly. Though there might be something for me to tell all about in the pipelines, once details and foundations have been sorted, also upon running by Buz etc.
Title: Re: GP Season 6 - Round 2 - Albert Park Post by: rip|ChITty on October 14, 2009, 03:38:27 PM Any thoughts on using the missed race provisions? Hot Laps?
Title: Re: GP Season 6 - Round 2 - Albert Park Post by: rip|buzinator on October 14, 2009, 04:00:30 PM side note - servers are updated to the new race07 patch 13 ... (not that steam users have a say in the matter)
Title: Re: GP Season 6 - Round 2 - Albert Park Post by: rip|ChITty on October 14, 2009, 04:17:29 PM I guess that means XD will probably be broken...
Title: Re: GP Season 6 - Round 2 - Albert Park Post by: rip|Lumacor on October 14, 2009, 04:28:19 PM Any thoughts on using the missed race provisions? Hot Laps? That's what my initial thoughts were when it was going to be Tuesday and I might have to miss a fair few races but still be able to compete in some others. But with Wednesdays I can't do any at all, so there's not much point in me submitting just 2 full races. I will however try as I might to get some ToTW times in. I'm not sure how much time I'll have to work on setups / laps to run etc, so don't worry, I won't be posting that competitive a set of times. (Hopefully I'll be alright still with the Bloxham Park one! ;)) I managed to turn a few laps in Melbourne, but got a bit late in the day for me as I was nearing your benchmark. Were still a lot of setup tweaks to do, and thankfully was working. It was a bit more stable than yours! You're a mad man. You clearly have a death wish with that setup! hehe! Anyway, I threw the 66% finished setup I did Buz's way, and hopefully he found some use for it. I'm sure if you want to run comparisons with it he will kindly forward it to you. (not that steam users have a say in the matter) why? is the steam version even out yet? Title: Re: GP Season 6 - Round 2 - Albert Park Post by: rip|buzinator on October 14, 2009, 05:45:15 PM the steam version of race07 has been out for a couple years...
Title: Re: GP Season 6 - Round 2 - Albert Park Post by: rip|buzinator on October 14, 2009, 05:46:08 PM ...oh, you must have thought i said raceOn ... maybe?

(not that steam users have a say in the matter) yeah sorry Title: Re: GP Season 6 - Round 2 - Albert Park Post by: rip|buzinator on October 15, 2009, 07:34:51 AM Man that sucked about your wheel ... but I guess at least now you have an excuse... (Like I sorta wish my plasma would break, so I can get get one with some insane contrast ratio...and is bigger)
Props to Cawdor, I look forward to seeing you with more and more ballast as the season goes on :P I also think Kal did an awesome job ... he really turned things around in a very short space of time. Title: Re: GP Season 6 - Round 2 - Albert Park Post by: rip|ChITty on October 15, 2009, 09:06:43 AM I'd like to formally state my apology to Bretware for not pulling over immediately after I inappropriately touched him (not trying to overtake, just messed up my braking zone). If I would have done so immediately it would have cleared up the subsequent laps immensely. At the time I was excited to get past and to try and reel in Cawdor/Buz, but then I decided it was appropriate to give the position back. I tried to do it at turn 1, but he had an incident there and slid off track, so I resumed again as the AI was catching up. I eventually gave it back at turn 4, but it was all very clunky and perhaps it wouldn't have been should I have pulled aside immediately.
Sorry. :( Title: Re: GP Season 6 - Round 2 - Albert Park Post by: rip|Bretware on October 15, 2009, 05:22:11 PM Not necessary , it wasn't a matter of being over aggressive so I have no problem with it.
However I will be asking Buz to take your car to the dino, I smell a rat ;D Title: Re: GP Season 6 - Round 2 - Albert Park Post by: rip|buzinator on October 15, 2009, 05:38:04 PM So if i understand this right, I should adjust the server ini file..?
