It's a shame I can't be racing with you all again.

The very best of luck though! Looks like it will be a fast race :D

I don't have any at all at the moment. What with the install / reinstall fiasco.

well, you should have the default SimBin ones right? Just as a starting point it might be usable...

I uploaded my work in progress.
F3000 test V3 is the file.
With the AI @ 98% I am running up front in practice.  Running in the 1m12's when fuel is low.

I have a really hard time starting from scratch on a setup, so this may be a step in the wrong direction for you.

wow ... thought i'd be much further off the pace.

Haven't figured out a good rear suspension setup for that huge bump in Stowe yet ... anyone found a way to get through that without getting too out of shape?

Clinching buttcheeks and closing my eyes has worked for me.

I'm pretty sure i was doing that ... I'll try doing so harder i guess.

Well, what I've really been doing is downshifting to 5th upon entry, then downshifting to 4th right about when I come to that bump.  My ass end majorly kicks out, but it seems I'm able to wrestle control back doing that and I blast exit the corner in 4th.

I still have to tweak my race setup to allow for something similiar.

I've been riding through in 5th ... I'll give that a try and see what happens.

This is exactly how I have come to deal with the "bump". Could'nt have worded it any better.

Are you running through the last chicane in 3rd or 4th?  3 for me.

But how in the hell are you getting those times!!  What is everybodys race pace @?  I guess I need to learn how to set up a hotlap car.

I was doing it in 4th for awhile until I figured out that 3rd was actually faster for me.

The difference for me between hot lap and race running is the vents or whatever and the ride height.  Otherwise everything is baically the same.  I might add a click of wing for the race tonight to manage the weight better.

I have no clue what my race pace will be. I also will prob just open the ductwork and lift it a bit ... and add fuel of course.

My hotlaps are done on race setup with light fuel.  I don't even mess with the ducts anymore. I need to put more time into hotlaps.

I want to pick your brains on ride height tonight, that is another area that I don't mees with too much.  Thanks for the info and talk to you all tonight.
