Title: Tires, Fuel & Pitting Post by: rip|buzinator on November 24, 2010, 01:27:12 PM GP7 Format:
- Pitting optional - Tires x2 - Fuel x2 Trying to remember how things tended to go down ... It was usually close but pretty doable without refuelling, even for me once I learned some making-fuel techniques. Tires did need changing though. For GP8... A couple ideas: - Ban refuelling, consider increasing Tire rate? - Increase fuel rate to ensure refuelling needed ... adds a new level of tactics? Title: Re: Tires, Fuel & Pitting Post by: bpbriles on November 24, 2010, 01:40:43 PM I think the tank on the FM is pretty small. I always practice on full tank and I usually can get no more than 21-25 laps at the tracks we have been running
Having a ban on refueling might limit our race lenghts considerably on some tracks. Title: Re: Tires, Fuel & Pitting Post by: rip|buzinator on November 24, 2010, 01:48:23 PM Interesting.
Will add to test schedule for next week. Title: Re: Tires, Fuel & Pitting Post by: rip|buzinator on December 15, 2010, 12:28:42 PM recap so far:
- Race distance will make refueling necessary even at x1 ... so that's what we will use. - Pit stop not required, if you want to run 20sec a lap slower to make it on 1 tank, go to town! - up to x2 tires has little effect ... test x4 next.
