Pitting: No Stops Required

Weather: Dry (Reserving the right to choose by consensus)

Starts: Standing

Setups: Open, sharing of setups very strongly encouraged

Fuel: x1

Tire wear: x4

Damage: 50%

Points:
 P1 thru P12 ... 15, 13, 11, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1
...Bonus 1pt for Fastest lap of the race.
...Standings will be calculated to exclude each driver's worst result (aka 1-race-Drop). Both during and after the season.

If any ties in score exist after the 1 race drop process, the tie break will be will be based on the sum of each driver's season total number of Laps Lead (at tracks with lap times greater than 1 minute) + Fastest Lap points + Hot Lap Points.

---------------

Ballast Loads

At each round the following ballast will be applied:

75kg ... Series Leader
45kg ... 2nd in series
25kg ... 3rd in series
10kg ... 4th in series

At the 1st race of the season 50% of nominal ballast will be applied, in order of previous GP season cliassification.

When there is a tie in championship points, order of ballast allocation will be based on the sum of each driver's season total number of Laps Lead (at tracks with lap times greater than 1 minute) + Fastest Lap points.

---------------

Classification if unable to complete race

If a driver is unable to complete a race they have begun, due to domestic emergency, equipment failure or freakish track/AI glitch ... they may exit the race at any time and will be classified as having finished ahead of the nearest AI car behind them at the moment of retirement, or behind the last human competitor if that AI car finishes ahead of said last-human-competitor. Full race points will be awarded in such cases.

Retirements due to being annoyed/bored/tired are not covered under this rule.

---------------

Conduct

This boils down to the basic principle of "Don't be a douchebag".

Riding rumblestrips or dropping wheels off is ok, but please do not take all 4 wheels beyond the rumblestrip (generally, the part painted with alternating colors). Where there are no rumble strips, please avoid crossing the lines marking the outer limits of the track. Where there are no such lines, use common sense and keep it "on the island".

If a driver is ever in ANY doubt about a specific corner or track area, they should ask for an opinion ASAP - before the event or during practice - so it can be discussed and everyone can then proceed with the same understanding.

It is accepted that occasionally accidents happen, through late braking or worn tires or AI acting weird etc. If a minor, accidental "Four-Off" occurs, it is recommended to lift or back off the pace for 2 seconds to ensure no undue advantage was gained.

If an entire corner is completely cut (eg, straight-lining a chicane) the driver is advised to bring the car to a complete stop (off the racing line) before proceeding. Otherwise they are leaving themselves open to post-race protests and resultant penalties.

Prolonged or deliberate contact with the walls in order to improve laps times or gain tactical advantage is prohibited.

---------------

The Pit Lane:

Entrance and Transit - Drivers may enter at racing speed, observing the usual rules regarding the line taken (2 wheels on the track), please keep it sane. The pit speed limiter must be allowed to operate automatically, let it come on and go off by itself ... DON'T TOUCH IT!

The Pit Stop:
 - Refuelling is permitted
 - Manually restarting the engine after refuelling is BANNED. The engine must be allowed to restart automatically.

Exit - Drivers are strongly urged to take the time to study the pit exit and figure out how it is intended to be used. Aggressive pit exit behavior opens a driver to potential protests and penalties. It is in a driver's own best interest to blend politely and predictably.

Buz will be performing random spot checks of pit activity via race replays.

---------------

Conflict Resolution

If you know you did something questionable, there are two ways to avoid a penalty:

 - Offer to slow down to let any victim car past (regardless of how many others may also pass you in that time).

 - Immediately bring the car to a stop, off the racing line, and then proceed (This applies to minor, accidental pit speeding and corner cutting)

Outside of this, alleged incidents should be reported post-race, either in Ventrilo or in that race's forum thread. Protests should cite Lap & Corner information so others may review replays. Screenshots and video evidence are also welcome. Discussion will ensue and a vote will be taken.

...24hrs after race finish - Deadline for submitting protests.

...48hrs after race finish - Deadline for penalties to be decided.

Standard post-race penalty will be 20sec added to total race time for the offending car, per infraction.
