It was as intense as the Okayama round for me!!

EZ-  Why yes you were the fastest, by nearly a full second.

Unreal, some kinda network issue ended my race, dropped from vent and race 07 at the sametime and required a restart to reconnect.
To make matters worse, in my rage I destroyed my wheel, I think I need a break!

Racing perspective:

Congrats to BP ... you really must have been on your toes to draw out such a lead despite the freakish AI. That was some race craft man.

Props to Bret also, it was so intense trying to chase him down. I gave it absolutely everything I had, and it really wasn't enough, realistically.

I didn't see the replay as yet, so idk how Chitty busted his front wing, but it's a shame about all the issues generally, he and Ez looked like they were going to have an epic battle.



Everything-else perspective:

I sure can't blame folks if they're miffed. I know I've had my moments this season.

 ... As far as the disconnects, I checked the server out and couldn't find anything suggesting there were probs stemming from it. Add to that the fact that Ez & Bret both dropped from Ventrilo as well as the game, and it seems like client or cloud based issues ... not sure what can be done about that kind of thing, but I'll keep it brewing away on the back burner of my brain.

 ... As far as the unfolding of the event, clearly the AI are a massive problem. The Oulton Park we used included an "AI Fix" from NoGrip ... so one can only imagine what the original AI must have been like. It seems that we need to ban AI from the track, and the track from events/series using AI.

 ... As far as breaks, if there's a consensus I'm cool with having an F1-in-August-style week off. Perhaps we can screw around a bit and do some TC tests with the DTM & Atom mods..? Just putting it out there.

I say get the last two races over A.S.A.P. I'll try and get a wheel in time but I just dropped $300 to go liquid cooling and was hoping to get two water blocks for my GPU's at $250. I would hate to miss the oval, but I'm thinking about getting a highend wheel so it may be a little while.
As far as the disconnects, I think someone said the web was slow before we started so it may have been infrastructure.
I don't ever remember having a season with this many drops, seems something is up, could it be the tracks?

Speaking of glitches last night.......

When I went to hop off vent last night, I could not hear anyone.  I suspect I could not be heard as well.  When I would mic up , it would make a weird noise!?  Everything looked normal, but was obviusly not working properly. 

Bummer for the hiccups, it sucks real bad to win a race like that.  EZ you had crazy pace and you "heavy guys" were not looking heavy at Quali'. 

  However, there are 2 races left, one being an oval no less!!  Anything can happen!!

Allrighty then - we shall roll on.
I'll continue looking at the server side of things in case there's something i can figure out.

Results & Standings posted ... I'd call them unofficial until ChITty or someone can review them for errors.

I'll try to look at things this weekend.  I've got a bit of the black death I've been fighting off since monday.
