Title: LA Noir Post by: rip|bonuspoints on November 08, 2011, 03:24:24 PM Released today on PC. A port from console but its rockstar so how bad can it be. I will try this out tonight and write up a quick review. Its suppose to play very similar to the GTA series but you are the good guy. Little differences like you cannot run people over in your car.

Title: Re: LA Noir Post by: rip|bonuspoints on November 09, 2011, 12:23:58 PM Its good. I got to play a couple hours last night. Its smart, the dialog is intelligent. Rockstar really makes you feel like you are watching a 1940's crime movie. The walking/running/shooting/driving all feel like a GTA game. There is a lot of manual interaction investigating and finding clues. the shootouts are entertaining but so far have not been the main focus of the game. The graphics you can tell are dated but the facial animations are amazing.
I like it its defiantly a different genre of game and is good break from all the other traditional fps games. It gives me the same game play feel as mafia 1 did for PC back in 2002. I can definitely see why you'd associate it with Mafia. God I hated having to go the speed limit in mafia. :) |
