Title: Re: Wanting a RAM upgrade, need advice... Post by: rip|buzinator on November 29, 2011, 01:15:06 PM I believe they would ... though I notice now that they aren't the X series, so slightly lower speed than your current sticks.
Any reason you wouldn't just buy another pair of sticks the same as your current? they're already pretty high spec and that would get you up to 8GB total ... you have 2 slots free right? Title: Re: Wanting a RAM upgrade, need advice... Post by: rip|UltraNative on November 29, 2011, 02:35:00 PM OK i just checked my box out at the office and i guess i do have 4 DIMM slots...so I'll prolly just get the same ones I currently have....which are good, right?
Title: Re: Wanting a RAM upgrade, need advice... Post by: rip|UltraNative on November 29, 2011, 02:47:33 PM OK i just went with these badboys....same exact thing but 2 x 4 GB, so I'll have 12 GB i guess

i.e. take out existing memory and move to empty slots, replace existing memory with new (4GB ea). Title: Re: Wanting a RAM upgrade, need advice... Post by: rip|UltraNative on November 29, 2011, 07:05:31 PM good plan dude...thanks for the #PROTIP
