Title: Corsair H80
Post by: rip|Dusty on January 29, 2012, 08:30:10 PM
The unit is fairly compact.  it has a profile setting via a push button on the cooling block itself, I set it to Performance mode and yet it's still very quiet compared to my last one.

that looks kewl. just wondering if a person could hook the gpu on it too? because i have been thinking of going water cooled also or do you have to buy a seperate unit for that.

Unfortunately, you'd need a separate unit as the cooling block attaches to the top of the CPU and is dedicated to it.

I did some research and there doesn't seem to be much out there specifically designed for the GPU.  There is a thread on it in the Corsair support forum ( http://forum.corsair.com/v2/showthread.php?t=99257 (http://forum.corsair.com/v2/showthread.php?t=99257) ) and in it they suspect Corsair might be releasing a new product soon.  CoolIT Systems released one but they no longer sell to the public, they do sell to Corsair though so perhaps there's something on the horizon.

I wouldn't be surprised if we soon see integrated cooling systems on the cards themselves being they're becoming so powerful, something like this concept:

Nice ...  I am keeping an eye on the H-100.  I have two 12 cm fans right behind the CPU that it looks to be a good fit for it.

And what is up with Corsair Link Digital....  There seems to be so little out about it.

Perhaps the zip-tie solution?
