Title: If anybody is still out there... :) Post by: rip|ChITty on June 10, 2013, 03:55:59 PM ...besides Buz of course.
Grid 2 multiplayer can be pretty damn fun. Since that's what the first few league seasons were run on I thought I'd mention it in case anyone had a hankering for the less technical racing we did back in the day. I've been racing nearly every night since it came out. Improvements over the old Grid: - Multiplayer car and upgrade unlocks give you something to race for. Cars can be tailored to different driving styles. Strategic variability. - Rival feature where you're paired against a random person across the internet. Gives you a defined competitor in a weekly set of challenges. - Friend lap leaderboards even in single player - Flashbacks in multiplayer. If there's a huge crash you can hit that button and get reset, at speed. Your race can't be completely destroyed by an idiot. - Arrows indicating where other nearby drivers are. I believe that wasn't in the original Grid. - User modified MP car liveries - Graphics - Host controlled kicking. GRID was by majority vote. - Corner cutting penalties Downgrades: - no text chat in multiplayer, only voice. - DLC can cause segregation of servers. Come check it out! The flashbacks in multiplayer are a real life saver, sorta makes griefers irrelevant 8) |
