Title: K/D MATTERS Post by: rip|krular on December 26, 2016, 10:30:29 PM K/D is not what Battlefield is about. The game isn't about kills, it's about taking objectives and holding those objectives. If you only worry about your K/D, and never take a point, then YOU don't matter.
But K/D DOES matters just as much as SPM/ PTFO. The less time you are dead = the more time you are on the battlefield being useful. I'm not talking about the snipers camping in the back of the map either. You can have a nice KD and High SPM while also doing Objectives. I look at it if you have a K/D of 1.0 while PTFOing then you did good during the game. Everyone should always try to be at 1.0 K/D at all times. If you are not then you need to work at improving your game. I even think that a K/D of 0.9 while PTFOing, then you probably helped the team out a lot. If your K/D is below 0.75 even while PTFOing, then you really didn't help the team very much and possibly helped the other team more with the ticket counter. The more you are alive the more you are in the game. The more you are taking flags and holding them. The more you are throwing out ammo and med packs for your teammates. You cant take a flag, or help a teammate while dead. So start watching your K/D during the game. Aim for 1.0 K/D. And if you need to hold back and get a few kills to improve your K/D then do so. While you do this, you will start to see your game play improve over time also. Don't just rush to a flag because it is starting to change if all you are going to do is run out there and die. Cause you just gave the other team another ticket point to the good. K/D MATTERS.
