I hope there's test for the roll 'hoop' that applies a bit of lateral loading. That looks like it would just snap, to me.

As usual with these new developments (eg, F-duct) ... I kinda feel surprised nobody thought of it until now Smiley

Yeah, looking @ the Mercedes and Ferrari F-duct's.... it seems odd that it has not been incorporated before. 

Their design makes it seem as if, it would have been tried @ some point in the past.  You know that wanting wing to "go away" on the straights, has been on many engineers wish list's over the years.

Lets see if McLaren wasted $$, building theirs in the tub itself.  Only time will tell.

 I love F1 technology!!
