Round 5: Porche Supercup @ Vairano 2010 (Changeable Weather!)
Round 6: Dodge Challenger SRT8 @ Watkins Glen - NASCAR layout
Round 7: Ariel Atom @ Mondello - National
Round 8: Volvo C30 @ Trois-Riveres
Round 9: DTM 2010 @ Sebring 2005 ... 2hr Enduro!

Race - 9:30pm (2 Races, w/Top-8 Grid reversal, except Enduro)


Format:

Race length: 20min per race (except for Enduro Finale, single 2hr race)

Race 1 Starting Grid : Based on Qualifying Results

Race 2 Starting Grid : Finishing Order of Race 1 with top 8 reversed.

Pitting: Not required

Starts: Standing

Fuel: Normal

Tire wear: Normal

Damage: 25%


Points per race: P1 thru P12 ... 15, 13, 11, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1
 ...Per-Race-Points QUADRUPLED for Season Finale Enduro event.
 ...Bonus 1pt for Fastest Race Lap of the event (across both races)

Final standings will take into account each driver's 8 best rounds.
ie, each driver gets to drop their lowest scoring round of the season.


Ballast Loads

At each race the following ballast will be applied:

75kg ... Series Leader
45kg ... 2nd in series
25kg ... 3rd in series
10kg ... 4th in series

At the 1st race of the season 50% of nominal ballast will be applied, the finishing order of the previous season will be used to assign the loads.


Conduct

This boils down to the basic principle of "Don't be a douchbag". We're here to have fun, don't ruin other peoples' days if you can avoid it.

Track Limits: Riding rumblestrips or dropping wheels off is ok, but please do not take all 4 wheels beyond the rumblestrip (the part painted with alternating colors). Where there are no rumble strips, please avoid crossing the lines marking the outer limits of the track. Where there are no such lines, keep it on the island. Generally, be wise and avoid exposing yourself to potential protests.

If anyone should feel uncertain about a specific corner or track area, they should ask for an opinion ASAP - before the event or during practice. This way it can be discussed and everyone will be able to proceed with the same understanding.

If an accidental 4-Off occurs - regardless of fault - it is recommended to lift or back off the pace for 2 seconds to ensure no undue advantage was gained.

Prolonged or deliberate contact with the walls in order to improve laps times or gain tactical advantage is prohibited.


Conflict Resolution

It is understood that sometimes accidents happen, through late braking or worn tires or AI behaving strangely. If you know you did something that created a problem for another driver, you can avoid a penalty by negotiating in real time.

- Offer to slow down and let the victim car past (regardless of how many others may also pass you in that time).
- Performing a self-administered pitlane drive-through penalty (on the limiter!).

Post-race, incidents will be discussed by the group in Ventrilo, or reported by posting in that race's forum thread. Users lodging the complaint should provide lap number and corner location so that others may review the incident using replay files. Screenshots and video evidence are also welcome.

Deadline for Protest - 24hrs after race finish. If a poll is subsequently posted by League Admins, it will run for an additional 24hrs.

League Admins will decide action to be taken (if any) in the event of tied votes / inconclusive discussions.

Standard post-race penalty will be 20sec added to total race time for the offending car, per incident.
League Admins reserve the right to apply 60sec penalties, disqualifications or bans for seriously unsociable behavior.

I personally would like to keep it within 1 game, if not 1 car for TC8.  (perferrably Simbin's Race series)

I just like the consistancy when it comes to ballast and having 1 car.

Yeah, the different game was the main issue, now that I think about it.   

I'm not really concerned about using different cars in Race on/07.

I'd like that too actually. Will make it things a bit easier administratively.

Also, should I attempt to advertise for new members, it'd be easier to do, less to explain ... and I wouldn't have the issue of feeling weird about mentioning Codies in the SimBin forums or whatever.

Sorry to have been off the radar for a bit - life has been kind of overwhelming the last few weeks.

I'll try to get things together so I can answer that properly in the next few days.

No problem.  It's been crazy for me as well.  Work has been unbearable and the weather is downright INSANE!!  It seems like every other night there are tornadoes or 3-6" of rain.

I've added a bunch of season details and a few rule tweaks (keeping in mind potential for more human drivers with less established rapport).


Also - I recently learned a lot about weather manipulation. As it stands I have round 5 as the potential wet race, but am now thinking maybe we should save the weather for the Enduro race. The long duration can really let us have some fun with it ... I would of course release a weather forecast before the race, to reduce my weather-god-advantage (heck, i'd happily take a few extra kg of ballast too).

Ok, adopted the changeable weather for Enduro Finale.

I think the only outstanding thing  (apart from solid dates) is whether we want to employ any content from recently released DLC packs (eg, Retro Mini).

Selecting stuff from the most popular DLC would be a good idea.  Might bring in more people as you said in another thread.
