I have an ACER Predator xb241YU. It's a 24" 165hz tn 1440p panel. I think the colors suck and i am done with TN panels. Its also to small.

I think i want a 30" 120hz VA 1440p if i can find one. the 34",35" Va panels are to big and too expensive, not really interested, except there are these 2 which look interesting:
 Samsung 34" CF791 3440x1440 100hz for $999.00
BenQ XR3501 35" 2560x1080 144hz (now i hear with DSR "super sampling" you can get the BenQ to display 3400x1440 but only at 100hzISH) for $899.

I WANT deep blacks, bright snappy colors. I do play games other than FPS and want them to look good. I do not notice 15ms or less response time. (1ms looks the same as 15ms if you ask me). At this moment i will not be able to take full advantage of the monitor because my video card blows, its a 770m.

Come tax time i will be getting a new system that will have a 1080 or a 1080Ti(if i can scrape up that much cash). OR i may go with the new amd cards if i can find a monitor that is sexy enough and is Freesync.

I just bought a LG 34UC79G-B monitor which is a 144hz IPS panel.  This is about the only review I can find on it with any real data on it.  (It's very hard to find any info in english on this monitor)

http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/lg_34uc79g.htm

From the review it sounds like you better wait util they have the firmware fix.   Also, it isn't the brightest monitor but depending on your light conditions that may not matter.

This is my first gaming monitor so I don't know if I'm a good judge of how good this monitor is, so I don't want to say too much about it.

Let me know what you think.

Any backlight bleed on that LG? (i love TFTcentral !)
Upon further calibration the colors on this TN(ACER Predator) are good, i was pleasantly shocked how good i got it to look. But its got the TN blacks, which i am sick of. I did find out that there is a Microcenter(a REAL computer store, they do not have refrigerators, etc). So i may head down there and actually SEE some of these monitors i have been looking at, its almost 2 hours away in Detroit though. Its usually easy to find reviews on monitors, but forum browsing is really turning me off of EVERY single monitor i look at.

I may end up just keeping this one since it has 0 problems, but now that i have it i want a 27-32".

Would love to hear what ya'll are gaming on.
