Yeah, I have done many SCCA solo runs between 1998-2008 (KY chapter) in Louisville, KY and some in Cincinnati and Lexington, KY

03 RSX type S    STS class
1988 Van Diemen Formula Ford  C mod class
Birel CR32X        F125 class

I currently run a CR125 mod moto shifter kart and a buddy and me are putting together a 1974 Spitfire 1500 club racer.  I have yet to club race, but have had my shifter on some big road courses. So looking forward to getting out on the big tracks in the Triumph.
I have done a handfull of PDX events @ Mid Ohio and Putnam Park in Indianapolis.  Willow has always looked like a tough, tight track!!

Yeah a buddy of mine just got his gopro last week.  They are $$$, but VERY nice.  Especially with the telemetry and data.

I made an in-car mount for my Acura.  It worked really well during solo events.  I also made one for my shifter, it worked well also.  However, I only ran it on the kart a couple of times for fear that the vibration would destroy my wife's camcorder.......not a good idea in hindsight, but it looked cool!!!

I got a GoPro a while back ago. heres a SCCA race I did at qualcom stadium

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LYaebi5EOd0

The race after this blew my motor, and I've been waiting for the rebuild to finish. All forged internals, metal head gasket yadyadayada. I'll have it rom tuned for about 340hp. Before the motor crapped out i was running 300 hp and its was pretty damn fast for a 2700lbs car, no traction control or ABS.

Nice vid.  Those GoPro's are real nice.  You have now motivated me to post some of my old in-cars and such.

I have seen quite a few vids from your region, over the past few years.  Are there still a good # of shifter karts that run @ Qualcom?

There are quite a few 240's that run STS here in Louisville and Lexington KY.

I wish Nissan would remake the 240! Great balance with RWD.

Yes there are a lot of shifter carts out here. I wish they would make a newer 240 as well, but I don't think that will happen. Instead I see a lot of guys switching to the Hyundai Genesis coupe. RWD 260hp? Bare bone basic car but in a lot of ways is like the older Nissan 240's but newer.

That Hyundai coupe is a neat little car.  Don't they make some type of "track version" of that car, w/ bigger brakes and such?

I think that 3.8 six makes 306hp in the coupe.  I could be wrong, though.

You have now motivated me to post some of my old in-cars and such.

I'm going nuts!  I have some autoX, karting and ALMS races I've been to.   .... ENJOY.

Most are 2006-2008, so a bit dated.  Quality is bad on a few as well.  Just never got around to puttin em' on youtube.

Yeah, It was an 03' RSX type S.

Never had it dyno'd, but it should have been around 235ish @ the wheels.

added a couple more..

#1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bQNO2ukkhsk

This was the year the Aston Martin flew 142' backwards and landed safely in the gravel.  http://www.autoblog.com/2006/05/23/aston-martin-flies-farther-than-wright-bros/
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hl2UUunlI2Q
You can see it (5:45) in the garage after the "flight".  We were in the pits when he took "flight".  We noticed the mud all over the car, but were oblivious.

#2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=186UV-nNemE

Great race start and some restarts from the "keyhole" on first half of video.

Enjoy!

Back in the mid 90's I ran Super Stock at Pacific Raceways in Kent, WA.  I had a 1975 Chevy Monza.  Great little car.  Also took the 3 day Super Comp class at Frank Hawley's Drag Racing School in 1993.  And the 2 day at the Mario Andretti Racing Experience in Vegas in 2008.  I may try the Dirt Fish Rally school this summer.
