Getting released 5/26 for free by Simbin.  I'm sure the tracks will be ported over to GTRe in no time.  Yay more tracks!

I doubt much that the tracks from a newer game will get ported to and older one. SimBin have taken a very firm stand against this.

Now GTRe tracks might get ported to the new Volvo game ... but c'mon ... just look at the name of this new one ... what self-respecting non-swedish person is going to play that??

I would think that the no porting of new tracks to older games stance would be so that SimBin doesn't face any potential revenue losses because people are moving content to a platform they already have and not purchasing the container for that new content.  Well.... in this situation, SimBin faces no lost revenue.  Volvo would lose some ad space certainly if we're not driving their cars, but they could plaster Volvo all over the track and pretty much get the same benefit, if not more because as you mention I don't have a burning desire to be race a Volvo, but I do have the desire to try out a new track regardless of whether Volvo is splattered all over.

ok, now that i actually read the article ... free = good.

Although - only one 'new' track ... the 2nd track is from STCC, which i think is a Race07 addon (like GTRe).

Yeah I suppose they wouldn't port that STCC map since that obviously is in a paid product.  BTW I'm all over that RaceON add on when it comes around.

The game has been released and is available on the Volvo website.  I might just take a poke at it if nothing else to show SimBin some love.  They probably already got all of their compensation for the game, but by grabbing it maybe SimBin will get more projects (and more revenue) like this in the future.
