Whassup from Iraq....

How goes it? I hope you all are doing alright. I'm doing pretty good. We're almost out of this shithole. If everything goes as planned we'll be home before christmas. I wish I could have made it to the LAN party with you guys and joined in on the alcoholic festivities, but maybe next time. The weather over here is getting cooler and it usually rains once a day for a bit. Just enough to make the ground muddy and nasty....

The food sucks, but I've gotten used to it. I'm scared that when I get home I won't like normal/good food anymore cause it won't taste like chow hall food... We recently got a Subway, Pizza Hut and Burger King on base but they're not really the same. And I'm sure you can imagine what will happen to your shit (excuse my French) after you've been eating chow hall food for so long then you eat a nice greasy pizza or burger and fries... it's not a pretty site or smell, trust me.

And yes, your hard earned tax dollars are being wasted over here. :wink: We play a lot of games: CnC Generals, MOHAA, UT 2004, Tiger Woods 2004 (BF won't run on these P.O.S. machines), go to the gym during duty hours, spam mail each other all day, setup betting pools and fantasy leagues for football, talk to Joker about SWG on AIM, and of course sit around the smoke pit for countless hours and talk about what we're gonna do when we get back. But we do manage to get some work done once in a while... hehe :wink: We do get a few channels on the tube, so we've been watching football and CNN. And that reminds me, the Panthers blow ass this year.... go figure. Buz and Joker don't get your hopes up, the Eagles will choke again in the playoffs... hehe

But really, I count my blessings that my unit and I are in an area that isn't too hostile. It's definately not a cake walk over here, but it's nothing like Fallujah. We pray for and do all that we can to support the men and women in areas like Fallujah. They are the real heart and soul of this military.

I'll stop rambling now and get some work done. I will see you all soon and I can't wait to game it up with ya's again. I don't think I'll be getting into BFV, it's just not the same as BF. Hopefully BF2 will bring the BF community back together and RIP can be a big happy family again. I'm not leaving RIP but I've been invited to play in CAL on the -dL- team with Jimmy, hb, and Tree. I hope you all still consider me as RIP even though I'm sticking with BF. I will definately jump into BFV once in a while and put a few holes in you guys just to let you know I still have it. :wink: And of course I can't wait to play SWG with all of you that have gotten into it.
