Yeah you are in for some "miles"  on your tootsies, to see all of spa.   Road America just about killed my feet when I made my one trip up there.  RA is about as long, but has nowhere near the elevation changes of spa.

Hey was that you crossing the fence in Q2 or 3 today that caused the red flag??     Wink

Have a great time and be safe!!  Sounds like you are gonna have crazy weather even for spa's standards.

Kav-  They have ran those X-bows in the Race of Champions. They are nice little rides!

yeah i saw that

and yes the race weather is going to be interesting

Zandy was just a visit since we flew into Amsterdam, it was right there, no way could I pass that up. Missed DTM & F3 by a day, doh.

But will be sitting AT EAU ROUGE, so yeah, there'll be pics of it!

Looks like it's gonna be a wet one, still feel the cold on my bones from yesterday.

At least webber got pole, hopefully he and Lewis won't take each other out...might have to watch their backs though...

Wow! that was a great race to watch at home, seemed like a lot of stuff happened around where you might have been sitting Buz, must have been fun.

Hamilton was brilliant. I was rooting for him the whole way, to bad Rubens forgot to break at bus stop though was hoping he would do well. Vettel is so unpredictable sometimes it seems, no idea where he was trying to go when he took out Button.

I'm SO over Vettel. Hamilton looks like a wise old man next to him. The douchebag has Rookie written all over him.

Any way - yeah, phenominal race to watch, hope the Renault mechanics are OK.  Gutted for Jenson, stoked for Petrov, he drove a great race from far back.

Utterly mystified about Alonso, until he went off he was really putting on a great show in recovery.

If I ever see rain again I may cry. Can't take any more!!!

(If anybody follows GP3, in the AM race young American Alexander Rossi had great time getting from 13th to 3rd too, what a weekend, it has been nuts)

Yeah they were talking about the GP3 american drivers during the GP2 race.

Buz did you notice any odd change in the sound of the Hamilton's or Button's engine? It sounded weird under braking and the host were talking about it.

At our part of the track it was all flat out ... The only odd sound I noticed came from the Renaults, and that actually ceased by qualifying and the race.

Um, it seems like you've never liked Vettel... I would agree that he doesn't have the race craft thing down at this point.

I distinctly recall explaining to you that when he subbed for Kubica at Indy after his big Montreal crash I did in fact cheer Seb on his way to being the youngest ever point scorer ... So the charge that I "never" did is not accurate.

As Will Buxton observes, he continues to make rookie mistakes, fails to learn and goes on to make more. And when things don't go his way he freaks out (hand gestures at Istanbul, Hungary etc).

What is there to like ?

Well, the likeable guys are generally not the fast guys in F1.  But to your point, he has definitely rubbed me the wrong way this season with his antics.

oh yeah and.... WELCOME BACK!

Another thing that kinda surprised me was the bottoming/plank-wear. I was familiar with the patch on downhill Eau Rouge entrance, but didn't realize they continue to scrape along nearly half way up Radillon too.

Also didn't realize the scraping produced so much smoke, it got quite hazy and stinky when the cars were full of fuel and running lower. Attached is a pic of Maldonado's GP2 car during practice...
