Currently, Round 5 will be due to fall on August 29th ... with everyone's permission I humbly request that we take that week off and pick up again the following friday 9/5/08.

my reason - 8/29 is my birthday and i'm going out to the NJ MotorSports Park to check out the Rolex Grand Am event there, including the Daytona Prototypes. They're going to be some long days and I'll be beat at best or possibly not even home.

On a related note, my attendance tonight is looking questionable.  If I do make it, it will probably only be for the GP race, and I'll probably even miss qualifying.

hmmm. Well, I guess Jackal missed out in round 1 ... i guess events should go as planned...i'll just live with it.

but someone is going to have to volunteer to be MC for the 29th in my stead.

Either way is fine by me. I won't be able to race for round 5 either...guess what?! It's MY birthday too Actually mine is 9/2 but we are leaving town Friday afternoon for the 3 day weekend.

Regarding taking that weekend off, I'm on board with postponing week 5.

Well ... we're in a sticky place. Jackal & Indent have both missed rounds so it seems only fair that no exceptions should be made for others.

However, if people are in agreement with deferral, so be it.

However-however, as stated above, if I'm not around and those present DO wish to proceed with a planned event,  there needs to be someone taking the necessary screenshots and running correct cars/tracks & quali sessions etc. I can't publish official results etc without evidence that everything was done properly. If someone wants to step up to that task I have no problem giving them any assistance they may need.

(Maybe)  I'm going to try like hell to make it for the race.  I did some practice laps on the GP track last night and I've really taken to the track in the F3 cars.
