basically any direct x issue reinstall directx....  the below link is for WINXP ONLY!!


The file d3dx9_37.dll is from the March 2008 version of DirectX, install this and it will work i just got it working on my own computer. The new version of DirectX for August didnt fix the problem for me. This file was ONLY distributed in the old version of DirectX. Each version of DirectX changes file names so you can have more then one version installed.

I was running DirectX10 (Vista) and have downgraded to 9.24.1400. 

August 2008 (works with Vista)

then reboot ..then try to logina nd jion a game you should be good to go

if that doesnt work try this:

ok so you need to install 2 files the first you put into the folder w/e you installed cod5 beta and the second run it.

next (for windows 64bit users) run cod5 in compatibility mode xp service pack 2 and run as admin.
