Round 1 of the inaugural Whoopass Racing season last night saw a number of surprising results ... the first of which came most unexpectedly in Ariel Atom Qualifying when Buz and Kav somehow managed to produce the exact same lap time for pole, down the 1/100th of a second!

After a blistering start that won him a couple seconds gap back to the pack, Buz was caught out by cold tires and heavy fuel entering the chicane on lap 2, skating across the grass and slapping the wall hard, rejoining the track in last position. When pressed for comment, after finishing 5th behind Matrix66, Buz explained "Shut the F**K UP!".

Meanwhile, after pitstops the race came down to a gripping duel between Kav & Lebowski (aka Dude). Neck and neck down to the final hairpin, Lebowski managed to hold off the now insane with rage Kav for a magnificent victory!

After chugging the entire magnum of champaigne during the podium ceremonies the race winner proceeded to the post race press conference, where he enthused, "To be leading the Honda Ariel Atom championship feels really freaking good!". But Lebowski then went on at length about his teammate Kav, "I feel bad, really bad. We trained together since we considered ourselves the worst drivers in the field, but last night was just embarrassing ... He's just holding me back at this point."

Buz won the Civic race at the Gateway International oval track. buz i5 t3h r0X0rz!!1!
