Looks like it could be ... if you take to heart what was said at WWDC 2007

EA, number one publisher of games, is coming back to Mac in a BIG way." Bing Gordon, CCO and co-founder of EA is on stage. "Thank you Steve! I have two teenage daughters... they live on a MacBook. Our CTO lives on a Mac. We're seeing technologies move to Mac... what do they all want (in addition to a new Cinema display?)" Laughter. "They want to see games... we're going to rectify that." New games for Mac: C&C3, Battlefield 2142, NFS Carbon, and in July, Harry Potter (Phoenix).

Do you think that would bring more players???  And of course the really big question ....   integration on the on-line players.  Quake III did really well with MAC and PC playing together on-line, so I guess there is hope.

Probably wouldn't bring too many new players, considering the ratio of Macs to PCs in the world generally.

Would be interesting to see those games running on an 8-Core system, though Macs only come with a 7300 gfx card. I suppose it would be upgradeable..?
