Kav sets new standards of excellence, but his reign of terror finally ends.
( ... and there was much rejoicing!)
GP: Oran Park seems to always be the scene of controversy. Last season's race
being the height of hatred for the much maligned Civic, this time it was Jackal's
indecision that stirred the pot. Dissatisfied with his choice of FW27 and opting
for Formula Palmer Audi instead. Tense, due to his winning streak, Kav didn't take
the news well, "I almost numchucked you, you don't even realize!!1!".
Seemingly out of nowhere, Lebowski grabbed pole and the race was quickly underway.
Turn one saw Kav pulling the move of the race, using push-to-pass off the line and
late braking to get inside of Lebowski for the lead. There was also minor contact
as Buz squeezed his way past Jackal prior to the bridge, and Jackal soon found
himself in trouble after hitting a curb he shouldn't have, "Yep, I'm flying through
the air. This is not good.". Despite Buz setting the fastest lap of the race and, at one
point drawing as close as 1.3sec, Kav won the day and set a new record for consecutive
race wins ... 4 straight, each with a different car and on a different track, "I can go on all
day. Last week I made, to scale, a balloon model of Wrigley Field. I don't monky have
anywhere to put it."
TC: A first for WAR Championship racing, all rules were removed from the dirt race.
Lebowski grabbed pole again (you'll go blind!) and led the race flag to flag. In
spite of the removal of all rules, the race was largely processional. Buz made some
half-baked attempts of ramming but only Kav made a serious attempt to exploit the new
possibilities. After rolling his car he eventually went around backwards, but was unable
to make any impression on the running order, missing Lebowski 3 times.
Afterwards, the pole sitter/fastest lap holder/race winner spoke at an impromptu press
conference of his own making, "I'd like to congratulate Kav on his record setting win
earlier today in the feature race. At the same time I also thank him for making my
imminent 5-race winning streak all the more special."
Standings:
Kav has maximum possible points in the GP series, 4 clear of Buz.
Lebowski leapfrogs past Kav in TC, now 4 points seperate 1st and 2nd.
Jackal is Mr Consistancy for 3rd in both series to date.

I think it is actually duck ... it was developed for the military as a quick seal for ammo boxes, so water would roll off it, like off a duck's back...

Duct tape, in the USA and Canada, is a fabric-based, multi-purpose adhesive tape with a soft and tacky pressure sensitive adhesive. It is generally silver or black in color but many other colors and transparent tapes have recently become available. With a standard width[citation needed] of 1.88 inches (48 mm), duct tape was originally developed during World War II in 1942 as a waterproof sealing tape for ammunition cases.[1][2] Permacel, then a division of Johnson & Johnson, used a rubber-based adhesive to help the tape resist water and a fabric backing to facilitate ripping. Because of these properties, it was also used to quickly repair military equipment, including jeeps, guns, and aircraft. Duct tape is also called "100 mph tape" in the military [3], due to the fact that soldiers often refer to something that exceeds expectations as "High Speed."
