what file(s) do copy to back up my save file? i just got my golden AK and i DO NOT want to loose it.

I could have just pmed someone but i figured it would be some good public and private info for everyone aswell. after you've ranked up a couple times it gets old.

well someone let me know cuz i'm about ready to just backup my entire profile folder.

If you are running vista here is where it saves at.

**make sure  you have see hidden folders turned on.**

C:\Users\**YourName**\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\players\profiles\yourname

Correct ...  The file name that you really want is mpdata


I just make a backup/copy of the whole players directory by making a copy on another drive.  I have re-installed and moved a copy of the players directory back and had no issues.   The "ranked" data is linked to your cd key you do not try it with a different one.
