As a pure gaming device I would probably agree that the 360 wins.  He was looking more for a media device where the PS3 trumps the 360.

Currently I can watch all my torrents that I download using VUZE (you can do this on the ps3 also)
I can also use my media center pc on my 360 (can't do this on the ps3)
I can also access Netflix (can not currently do this on the ps3)
I use Playon to watch HULU http://www.themediamall.com/playon

So what can the ps3 do in the sense of media that the xbox 360 can't do (except for bluray, but who the hell wants to do that when you can stream HD content already).

download the movies and burn them to bluray.  i can't keep porn on the media center pc for my wife to find.  Shocked

I don't know what you mean by use your media center pc on your xbox360.  You mean access files from that machine?  Tversity does that for free and I bet has better transcoding support.
Playon also has Netflix for the PS3...
Playon has hulu for ps3, or you can watch it from your ps3 browser, or you can watch it through tversity
xbox360 looks like a kid's toy
PS3 has blu-ray and is one of the best dvd upconverters available
xbox360 = RROD & loud
You don't know HD if you think streamed content is the same as blu-ray
PS3 online access if free for downloading updates, browsing the store, demos, and game related networking
