Yea, I noticed that all of the components were top notch.

My video will be Dual 1GB ATI Radeon Mobility HD 4870 in CrossfireX.

Would you get the same performance though? I'm not particularly familiar with SLI type stuff ... but that sounds a bit odd to me.

it would be slower compared to a 16x + 16x solution.

Hell the card it comes with is one of the best single GPU cards available right now

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102885&cm_re=hd_5850-_-14-102-885-_-Product

check out where it ranks

$1,265.88 with Blue-ray burner and SSD hard drive,  Windows and 2nd hard drive not included.

Better quality machine, but alittle more work.
If you look for combo deals you could save more $$

i7 860 is a good bit faster than the amd that you listed. You paid quite a bit for a little bit of hard drive space even if it is sdd.

I like the i7 860 because it has the turbo boost where if a program isn't using all cores then it will put all the power towards one core and boost it up too 3.64ghz

No the SSD is cool, the machine I listed would seem much faster due to the SSD.
We could argue AMD/Intel all day, but my 940BE@3.6 is amazing.
When you compare the quality of the two machines it's no contest, thats not just custom it's top shelf, the board, PSU, memory, case, SSD are the best of the best.

It's good everyone dosen't think the same, because then there would be one brand of everything Grin

I'll chime in on this and mention that i completely agree with Bretware... SSDs are off the hook.  I've had an Intel X25-m in my gaming PC for a good amount of time now and I just got one put in on my work machine.  They really make a huge difference to the feeling of the machine.
