Hum, why would you purchase a company and run into the ground?  Tax write off?

The competition was eliminated by the buy out. 

Dell is just too large of a company, just like AT&T.

I was assured by personnel @ Alienware that Dell would not screw-up Alienware (before the buy out) - Dell would just own Alienware.  Everyting else would be the same.

Now, to order an Alienware PC the website redirects you to a Dell webpage for config and purchase.
I'm sure Dell / Aleinware help desk is the same and repairs for that matter.

Dell/Alienware keeps changing (flip flopping) how you can customize certain PCs (motherboards, video cards, colors, etc).

Before it was like dealing with a small company not an extremely large corporation. 

Sorry, never have any good experiences with Dell (repairs, PC lifespan, customer service, etc).

My 1st Alienware was before the buy out, the second will be after.  Only time will tell.
