Hey Buz,

Is the Sepang F1 server still running? If so is it recording the lap times that people run when ever they are in there? If so can you set it to qualifying mode so that there is more rubber on the track?

I thought we could all see who can get the fastest time. I will send $5 through paypal to whoever turns the fastest lap by Friday the 9th. This has to be done on the server

I will send $10 on top of the $5 if the fastest lap time breaks JPM's record. If I win then I will donate the $ to the site.

If this works then during the season we can do this for each track and everyone can put $ in the pot and whoever wins gets it.

Server will be changing to Shanghai on Monday, perhaps we can start tracking things from then ... don't think I'm personally interested in the money aspect.

Waiting until monday to start sounds like a good idea gives 2 weeks to post laps. If I start a post on monday can you update every other day with the top 3?

Cleaning and parsing the logs is a different kettle of fish and far from automatic. Chitty would be the one to consult about that.

Updating is a nice idea but in practice very time consuming and I'm actually already kind of stretched beyond capacity (note the lack of link updates or spa race screenshots) ... and we don't even have a season running yet.

Weird, I have that installed and I have the shanghai track from no grip and I can't get in.

OK I don't know... This is why racing based on mods sucks balls.  I've wasted way more damn time on this than I was prepared to.

I installed the old F1 mod that was in the download section of the site.  - Didn't work
I downloaded the latest version of the Shanghai track on no grip - Didn't work
I reinstalled the mmg f1 mod after I saw Kav's response - Didn't work
I messaged Bretware, who the server is working for, linked me to http://www.nogripracing.com/details.php?filenr=26505 - Didn't work

I tried, but now I've spent far too much of my valuable fun time trying to get this to work and I'm completely unmotivated to make any further attempts.

Yeah, I have both of those installed and it didn't work.  Obviously something is goofy since it works for Bretware.  Anyway I've given up, but I wanted to get across that I at least tried.
