Glad they're acknowleging there are probs and taking steps to correct. As far as that unofficial list, I'm stunned that list doesn't include tires blowing out with excessive frequency.

I pretty much can't remember this happening ever due to wear (in real life). The event has no place in the game IMO (except in situations where there's been say, front wing contact with a rear tire (Liuzzi/Vettel @ Spa), or you've driven through a debris field (Kubica @ Singapore)).

I've seen articles where it was touted that the developers helped with Geoff Crammond's GPx series of games ... back in the day, after a fresh install of GP3 or GP4, my #1 first setting change was to Disable mechanical failures. They are a horrible idea imo, i DO NOT WANT several hours of hard work ruined because some subprogram in the game decided to make my tire blow randomly (back then the popular thing was having the throttle stick wide open). That's not my idea of fun, nor do i think it's "realistic" or whatever.

This game should at the very least have the option to disable mechanical failures.

The tire simulation doesn't have any effect on blowouts, at least not right now.

I've just been using the flashback feature whenever they happen.
