I was just curious to see what a thread like this would turn up.

Rules:
 - Physical CD or electronic is fine (eg, iTunes, Amazon MP3)
 - Refers to full albums
 - Actual purchase only, not ~ahem~ acquisitions of inderterminate origin.

Not at all my normal thing l but I recently fell in love with the voice of CéU and picked up her Vagarosa ... it's in Portuguese and I have no idea what she's saying, but she has my attention, lol.

I've been AWOL from the PC here the last week or so....

I just bought Lenny Kravits  "Black and White America" a few weeks ago.

I have to say I am disappointed with his results.   Cry   Its .....OK

I checked out the Dj Squire release on iTunes and I like!!  Much better than JV's stuff.  I think other than JV's family, Craig Pollock was the only other person to actually buy a copy.     Wink

Hey Buz, you ever heard of a band called "The Beautiful Girls"?  I think they are an Aussie band.

i think i have heard of them ... but don't think i have heard them. Are you at all familiar with John Butler? [Edit - just checked out 'the girls' ... wow diverse sounds. Maybe you should try Machine Gun Fellatio Smiley not literally though]

as far as Squire, it's about what I'd anticipated ... more straight techno/house, less melodic, than what i'd usually go for but I'm able to enjoy it. I've been about half way thru, looking forward to the last track, 65min without editing, should be interesting.

Yeah, I have a couple John Butler Trio albums.  They throw down!

The Beautiful girls albums I really like are, Learn yourself and water.  There sound has changed a bit since these two were made.

"Destroyed" by Moby.

Way more ambient and chill than I expected, not quite Boards of Canada, but pretty good.
